Plus, the 3 most popular social media posts.

The PT Roadmap

A weekly newsletter for personal trainers to guide you to become a better coach and build a better business.

Hey!

Thanks for opening up today's newsletter. I appreciate you being here.

Wow. We made it to 50 issues. Pretty cool if I don’t say so myself. Thanks for all the support. Here’s to 50 more 🥃

Today will be my last issue of 2023.

My time needs to go towards other projects and, of course, spending quality time with my family. This time of the year is magical with a young kid. I plan to milk that for all it’s worth.

You’ll hear from me again in early 2024!

Have the best Christmas and a Happy New Year when it comes around for you.

Let's get into it!

Business

I’ve judged these on open and reply rates. I track both of those metrics and used them to guide how I picked these issues.

Heavily influenced by the book section, this issue had a 70% open rate.

This issue had a 67% open rate. Mention the word content and emails tend to do well!

This issue had 14 replies. I average 4-5 so this was well up. I’m thinking I’ll create a short course or a free lead magnet on this topic as lots of PTs want to create a Hybrid offering, so keep your eyes peeled.

Ah, nutrition… don’t take it personally. It’s not you, it’s me. I fell out of love with you. This issue talks you through why, and how I handle it with my clients nowadays.

The cancellation is the bane of a many a PTs life. This issue talks you through how to handle em’. 64% of you opened, and I tracked 12 replies, so it was a popular one!

Social Post

As I’m doing a ‘bests’ issue on the overall newsletter issues, why not do a ‘bests’ for this section too?

It’s judged by the email's click-through rate.

  1. Why you probably don’t need an MRI from Hannah Moves (39 clicks)

  2. How to ask for referrals from Jon Goodman (37 clicks)

  3. How to get more Ig story views from Simon Mitchell (36 clicks)

Thanks so much for reading.

Until early January, Stuart.

Here is how I help in-person PTs like you build businesses they love.

And now is as good a time as any to put the things in place that’ll help you take advantage of the increased interest in fitness that occurs every New Year.

Let's talk if you’re interested in having a business coach who has been where you are and will help you create a plan to move you and your business forward.

No high-pressure sales tactics here.

If I think I can help you, I’ll tell you. If I don’t think I can or think you would be better suited to one of the many other excellent business coaches out there, I’ll also tell you.

Hit reply if you’re interested.
